Using this site…

We are telling a story – the COVID-19 Pandemic story (which is still evolving even through the tale) – using mostly graphics, tables and figures, and few words. While most of the visuals are self-explanatory and intuitive, the Time Series graphs, chosen for efficiency and effectiveness, may require reader-input to fully convey the information.

To get the most out of the Time Series Graphs:

  • Note that graphs may represent raw numbers or moving averages (rolling means), the latter best suited for looking for trends.

  • For Rolling mean graphs, check the box at the left lower corner: this indicates the averaging units used. Play with this number for desired trending.

  • Setting the roll unit number to Zero (0) results in un-averaged (raw) numbers.

  • Use the sliding bars at the bottom of the graph to zoom into desired periods, down to specific date(s).

  • Dragging the mouse over any area on the graph also results in zoom.

Most headers are page or section navigation tabs, even if they do not appear hot or tabbed. Please click them for more data.

Thank you for visiting this CSVS site. We hope that you find the content useful and or informative.
